Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 1000.

Let total voters = x

Ram gets = 0.69x

Voted = 0.85x

Valid votes = 0.85x - 100

Shyam = 0.16x - 100

According to the question,

⇒ 0.69x - (0.16x - 100) = 630

⇒ 0.53x + 100 = 630

⇒ 0.53x = 530

⇒ x = 1000
