In a clearance sale, a sari whose marked price was ₹10,490 is now sold for ₹9,441. What is the discount percentage on the sari?

Given that, MP = ₹10,490

SP = ₹9,441

Discount = MP - SP

Discount percentage = DiscountMP×100{Discount \over MP} \times 100

According to the given question,

Discount = ₹10,490 - ₹9,441 =  ₹1049

Now, discount percentage  = 104910490×100{1049 \over 10490} \times 100 = 10%
