Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 4 i.e. 64.8.

Let girls = 100 and Boys = 140

Total students = 240

Let boys' average = B

(140 × B) + (100 × 1.35B) = 240 × 55

⇒ 140B + 135B = 13200

⇒ 275B = 13200

⇒ B = 48

Girls' average = 1.35 × 48 = 64.8
