In a ΔABC right - angled at C, if tan A =√3, then the value of sin A cos B cot(A + B) is:

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 3 i.e. 0.

tan A = √3

⇒ tan A = tan 60°

⇒ A = 60°

So,

⇒ sin A = sin 60° = 32\sqrt3 \over 2

⇒ cos A = cos 60° = 121 \over2

Since, A + B = 90° because C = 90 so,

⇒ B  = 90° - A

⇒ B = 90° - 60°

⇒ B = 30°

Now,

⇒ sin B = sin 30° = 121 \over2

⇒ cos B = cos 30° = 32\sqrt3 \over 2

Since, A + B = 90°

⇒ cot(A + B) = cot 90° = 0

So, the value of sin A cos B cot(A + B)

⇒ 32\sqrt3 \over 2 × 32\sqrt3 \over 2 × 0 = 0
