If x−1x=7\sqrt{x} -\frac{1}{\sqrt{x}}=\sqrt{7}, then find the value of x2+1x2x^2 + \frac{1}{x^2} .

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 79.

 x−1x=7\sqrt{x} -\frac{1}{\sqrt{x}}=\sqrt{7}

on squaring both sides we get,

⇒ x + 1/x - 2 = 7

⇒ x + 1/x = 9

on squaring both sides we get,

⇒ x2 + 1/x2 + 2 = 81

⇒ x2 + 1/x2 = 79
