If x + 1x=8{1 \over x} = 8, then find the value of 5/(x2 - 8x +2)

Given:

 x + 1x=8{1 \over x} = 8

Explanation:

From the given equation, x2 + 1 = 8x 

⇒ x2 + 1 - 8x = 0

Adding 1 on both sides, we get

⇒ x2 - 8x + 2 = 1

Now, 5/(x2 - 8x +2) = 5/1 = 5

Hence the required value of 5/(x2 - 8x +2) is 5.
