If the sum of two numbers is 60 and their HCF and LCM are 5 and 60, respectively, then the sum of the reciprocals of the numbers will be:

The correct answer is Option 4 i.e. 15\frac{1}{5}.

Let, the numbers be a and b

We know that,

L.C.M × H.C.F = a × b

⇒ a × b = 5 × 60 and,

⇒ a + b = 60

Now,

⇒ 1/a + 1/b = (b + a)/ab

⇒ 60/(5 × 60) = 15\frac{1}{5}
