SSC CGL 2016 PYQ — Question 49

SSC CGL Tier II Quant - 30/11/2016 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q49

If the sum of radius and height of a solid cylinder is 20 cm and its total surface area is 880 cm2 then its volume is ?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3

Radius + Height = 20 cm

TSA of cylinder = 880 cm3

2πr(r+h) = 880

2 × 22/7 × r × 20 = 880

r = 7 cm

h = 20 - 7 = 13 cm

Volume of cylinder = πr2h = 22/7 × (7)2  × 13 = 2002 cm3
