SSC GD 2023 PYQ — Question 51

SSC GD Constable (English) - 6 Feb 2023 - Shift 4 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q51

If the radius of the base and the height of a cylinder are 11cm and 21 cm respectively, then what is the volume of the cylinder ? (Use π\pi = 227\frac{22}{7})

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 4 i.e. 7986 cm3.

The volume of the cylinder = πr2h

here, r = radius and h = height

On putting the value of π, r, and h in the formulae of the volume

So,

The volume of the cylinder = 22/7 × 11 × 11 × 21 = 22 × 11 × 11 × 3 = 7986 cm3

Hence, the volume of the cylinder is 7986 cm3
