Total N = 30

Median class = N/2 = 30/2 = 15

The 15th observation lies in (20 - 30)

L = Lower boundary of the median class = 20

CF = Cumulative frequency of the class just before the median class = 13

f = Frequency of the median class = 6

h = Class width (size of each class interval) = 10

Median $= L + \frac{{N\over2} - CF}{f} \times h$

$= 20 + \frac{15 - 13}{6} \times 10$

$= 20 + \frac{2}{6} \times 10$

= 20 + 10/3

≈ 23.3
