Figure for question 12

If the full marks in English is 150, Hindi is 50 and General Knowledge is 200, then find the difference between the total marks of the centre A and D.

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e 27.5.

The full marks in English in A = 150 × 90/100 = 135

The full marks in Hindi in A = 50 × 60/100 = 30

The full marks in General Knowledge in  A = 200 × 80/100 = 160

Total mark of centre A  = 135 + 30 + 160 = 325

The full marks in English in D = 150 × 85/100 = 127.5

The full marks in Hindi in D = 50 × 90/100 = 45

The full marks in General Knowledge in  D = 200 × 90/100 = 180

Total mark of centre D = 127.5 + 45 + 180 = 352.5

Difference  = 352.5 - 325 = 27.5
