If tan x = cot(48º + 2x), and 0º < x < 90º, then what is the value of x?

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 14º

tanθ=cot(90°−θ)tan θ = cot (90° - θ)

tan x = cot (48° + 2x)

⇒ cot (90° - x) = cot (48° + 2x)

⇒ (90° - x) = (48° + 2x)

⇒ 3x = 42°

⇒ x = 14°
