If tan x = -125\frac{12}{5}, where x lies in the second quadrant, what is the value of sin x - cot x?

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e.  209156\frac{209}{156}.

tan x = -125\frac{12}{5}

H2 = B2 + P2

 

H2 = (-5)2 + 122 

H = 13

sin x - cot x = 1213+512\frac{12}{13}+\frac{5}{12}

= 209156\frac{209}{156}
