 sinx - 3cosx=$\sqrt{3}$cosx

Formula Used:

$cotx = {cox \over sinx}$

According to the given question,

 sinx - 3cosx=$\sqrt{3}$cosx

⇒  sinx = 3cosx + $\sqrt{3}$cosx

⇒ sinx = (3 + $\sqrt{3}$)cosx

⇒ cotx = ${1 \over (3 + \sqrt{3})}$

⇒ cotx = ${(3 - \sqrt{3})} \over 6$

Hence the required answer is ${(3 - \sqrt{3})} \over 6$ .
