If sin2θcos2θ−3cosθ+2=1,θ\frac{sin^2 \theta}{cos^2 \theta-3 cos\theta+2}=1, \theta lies in the first quadrant, then the value of tan2θ2+sin2θ2tanθ+sinθ\frac{tan^2 \frac{\theta}{2}+sin^2\frac{\theta}{2}}{tan \theta+sin\theta} is:

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 7354\frac{7\sqrt{3}}{54}

⇒ sin2θcos2θ−3cosθ+2=1\frac{sin^2 \theta}{cos^2 \theta-3 cos\theta+2}=1

⇒ sin2θ\theta = cos2θ\theta - 3 cosθ\theta + 2.

⇒ sin2θ\theta = cos2θ\theta - 3 cosθ\theta + 2( sin2θ\theta +  cos2θ\theta )

⇒ sin2θ\theta + 3cos2θ\theta - 3cosθ\theta = 0

⇒ ( 1 + cosθ\theta)(1 - cosθ\theta) + 3 cosθ\theta(cosθ\theta - 1) = 0

⇒ (1 -  cosθ\theta )(1 - 2 cosθ\theta) = 0

⇒ cosθ\theta = 1  and  cosθ\theta = 1/2

⇒ θ\theta = 0° and 60°.

⇒ tan2θ2+sin2θ2tanθ+sinθ\frac{tan^2 \frac{\theta}{2}+sin^2\frac{\theta}{2}}{tan \theta+sin\theta} = tan2602+sin2602tan60+sin60\frac{tan^2 \frac{60}{2}+sin^2\frac{60}{2}}{tan60 + sin 60}

⇒ (13)2+(12)23+32\frac{(\frac{1}{\sqrt3})^2 + (\frac{1}{2})^2}{\sqrt3 + \frac{\sqrt3}{2}} = 7354\frac{7\sqrt{3}}{54}.
