SSC CGL - 19 Sep 2025 - Shift 1 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q54

If sin⁡x=35\sin x=\frac{3}{5} and x∈(0,π2)x\in\left(0,\frac{\pi}{2} \right), then find 1+tan⁡x1−tan⁡x\frac{1+\tan x}{1-\tan x}

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 7.

sin x = 3/5 = Length/Hypotenuse

Base = √(52 - 32) = √(25 - 9) = √16 = 4

tan x = 3/4

(1 + tan x)/(1 – tan x) = (1 + 3/4)/(1 – 3/4)

= (7/4)/(1/4)

= 7
