Given that

If sin A = 1/2,

So, A = 30º

Now, the value of (tan A + cos A) 

= tan 30º + cos 30º

= 1/3 \sqrt3 + 3 \sqrt3/2

= (2 + 3)/23 \sqrt3

= 523{{5} \over 2\sqrt 3}
