Short method:

$\frac{Profit}{Selling \,Price}$= $\frac 1 6$ 

Cost price = 6 - 1 = 5

Profit% = $\frac{1}{5}\times100 = 20$%

Alternate method:

The selling price of the scooter (S.P.) = ₹42564

Total Gain = $\frac 1 6$ × 42564 = ₹7094

The cost price of the scooter (C.P.) = S.P. - Gain = 42564 - 7094 = ₹35470

Profit percentage = (Gain/C.P.) × 100 = $7094\over35470$ × 100 = 20%
