If  P=x2−100x2−16P = {{x^2-100} \over x^2-16} and Q=x+10x−4Q = {{x +10} \over x-4}, then the value of PQ {P \over Q} is:

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e.  x−10x+4{{x -10} \over x+4}.

P/Q = [(x2 - 100)/(x2 - 16)] × [(x - 4)/(x + 10)]

=(x+10)(x−10)(x+4)(x−4)×(x−4)(x+10)=\frac{(x+10)(x-10)}{(x+4)(x-4)}\times\frac{(x-4)}{(x+10)}

=x−10x+4={{x -10} \over x+4}
