If p-q=9, and p2 + q2 = 127. Find the value of pq.

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 23.

⇒  p - q = 9 

⇒  p2 + q2 = 127 

⇒ (p - q)2 = p2 - 2pq + q2

⇒ 81 = p2 - 2pq + q2

⇒ 81 = 127 - 2pq

⇒ 2pq = 127 - 81

⇒ 2pq = 46

⇒ 46 / 2 = 23
