(40 Q 4 ) P 5 R (3 P 6) S (7 P 8) R 21 = ?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 33

Given equation is: (40 Q 4 ) P 5 R (3 P 6) S (7 P 8) R 21 = ?

P denotes ‘×’, Q denotes ‘÷’, R denotes ‘+’ and S denotes ‘−’.

Replacing the letters with signs:

(40 ÷ 4 ) × 5 + (3 × 6) − (7 × 8) + 21

= (10 ) × 5 + (18) − (56) + 21

= 50 + 18 − 56 + 21

= 89 − 56

= 33

Hence, option 1 is the correct option.
