137 ÷ 56 × 7 – 6 + 31 =?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 154.

Given conditions: ‘+’ means ‘–’, ‘–’ means ‘×’, ‘×’ means ‘÷’, ‘÷’ means ‘+’

Given equation: 137 ÷ 56 × 7 – 6 + 31 =?

After interchanging the expression becomes:

= 137 + 56 ÷ 7 × 6 - 31

= 137 + 8 × 6 - 31

= 137 + 48 - 31

= 185 - 31 = 154
