If in an examination, the marks obtained by Rohan is 36% less than that of Pawan, then marks obtained by Pawan is how much percentage more than the marks obtained by Rohan?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 3 i.e. 56.25%

Let Pawan’s marks = 100 (assume )

Rohan’s marks = 36% less than 100 = 64

Now, how much more are Pawan’s marks compared to Rohan’s

= 100−6464×100=3664×100=56.25%\frac{100 - 64}{64} \times 100 = \frac{36}{64} \times 100 = 56.25\%
