SSC CGL 2023 PYQ — Question 74

SSC CGL - 25 July 2023 - Shift 1 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q74

If cotA = 1, sin B = 1√2\frac{1}{√2} then find the value of sin (A + B) - cot (A + B).

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 1.

Given, cotA = 1

⇒ A = 45°

Also, sinB = 1√2\frac{1}{√2}

⇒ B = 45°

According to the given expression,

sin(45° + 45°) - cot(45° + 45°)

⇒ sin90° + cot90°

⇒ 1 + 0 = 1
