If cosec θ = 52\frac{\sqrt{5}}{2}, then what will be the value of (secθ + tanθ - cotθ)?

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e.  (3(3+ 25)2\sqrt{5})//22 

H2 = B2 + P2

sec θ = H/B, tan θ = P/B, cot θ = B/P

By Pythagoras theorem

 H2 = B2 + P2

⇒ B2 = (√5)2 – (2)2

⇒ B = 1

sec θ + tan θ – cot θ = √5/1 + 2/1 – 1/2

⇒ (4 – 1 + 2√5)/2

⇒sec θ + tan θ – cot θ = (3 + 2√5)/2
