If cos θ=1213\theta=\frac{12}{13}, then the value of sinθ(1−tanθ)tanθ(1+cosecθ)\frac{sin \theta (1-tan \theta)}{tan \theta(1+cosec \theta)} is:

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 35234\frac{35}{234}

 cos θ=1213\theta=\frac{12}{13}= B/H

P = 169−144=5\sqrt{169-144} = 5

sinθ(1−tanθ)tanθ(1+cosecθ)\frac{sin \theta (1-tan \theta)}{tan \theta(1+cosec \theta)}= (P/H(1 - B/H))/(B/H(1 + H/P))

= [5/13(1 - 5/12)]/[5/12(1 + 13/5)]

= (5/13 × 7/12)/(3/2) = 35/234.
