Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 2 i.e. 10.

The given number is divisible by 88 = 8 × 11

For the number 620x976y52 to be divisible by 8, the possible values of y = 1, 3, 5, 7, 9

Differnce of odd and even places digits = (6 + 0 + 9 + 6 + 5) - (2 + x + 7 + y + 2) = 15 - (x + y)

If (x + y) = 4 then, 15 - (x + y) = 11

Let, y = 1 or 3 and x = 3 or 1

So, x2 + y2 = (12 + 32) = 10
