Explanation

The correct Answer is option 2 i.e. 322

If

x + 1/x = p

Then

x2 + 1/x2 = p2 – 2

And

x3 + 1/x3 = p3 – 3p

Given:

a + 1/a = 3

a3 + 1/a3 = 33 – 9 = 18

then a6 + 1/a6 = 182 – 2 = 324 – 2 = 322
