SSC CGL - 13 April 2022 - Shift 1 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q67

If 5 sinθ - 4 cosθ =0, 0° < θ < 90°, then the value of 5sinθ+2cosθ5sinθ+3cosθ\frac{5sinθ + 2cosθ}{5sinθ+3cosθ} is :

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 67\frac{6}{7}

5 sinθ - 4 cosθ =0

tan = 4/5

5sinθ+2cosθ5sinθ+3cosθ\frac{5sinθ + 2cosθ}{5sinθ+3cosθ} Divide by cosθ in denominator and numerator

= (5 tanθ + 2)/ 5 tanθ +3

put the value of tan in the above equation

5(4/5) +2 /5 (4/5) +3 = 6/7
