SSC CGL Tier II - 7 March 2023 - Shift 1 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q16

 If 20% of (A + B) = 30% of (A − B),  then what percentage of B is equal to A?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 3 i.e. 500%

Given that

 If 20% of (A + B) = 30% of (A − B)

(20/100) * (A + B) = (30/100) * (A − B)

(A + B)/5 = 3 (A − B)/10

2A + 2B = 3A - 3B

A = 5B

Hence, A is 500% of B
