Let the number be x.

According to the given question,

20% of 35% of x = 240.8

⇒ 20100×35100×x{ 20 \over 100} \times { 35 \over 100} \times x = 240.8

⇒ x = 3440

Now, 18% of 3440

⇒ 18 × 34.4 = 619.2
