  1. The error lies in option 1 because of the wrong use of "Subject-verb agreement".
  2. We need to replace "Does" with "Do" for making the statement grammatically correct.

Grammatical concept:- 

  • Subjects and verbs must AGREE with one another in number (singular or plural). Thus, if a subject is singular, its verb must also be singular; if a subject is plural, its verb must also be plural.
  • The subject of the given statement is "They" which is plural hence, we need to use a plural verb 'Do".
  • The chosen option contains the Grammatical Error hence, it will be the correct choice.
