Application

Median is always half of hypotenuse in right angle triangle.

Centroid divides the median in the ratio of 2 : 1

AB, BC and CA are 7 cm, 24 cm and 25 cm.

They form Pythagoras triplets as 252 = 242 + 72

Hence, triangle ABC is a right-angle triangle, right angled at B.

Hence, median BM will be half of hypotenuse CA.

BM = 25/2 = 12.5

Centroid G will divide the median BM in the ratio 2 : 1

Hence,

BG = 2/3 × 12.5
