Follow-on is a rule used in Test cricket and First-Class cricket. It allows the team that batted first to enforce the opposing team to bat again if they trail by a significant margin in the first innings. As per ICC Test match rules, the follow-on is enforced if the team batting second scores 200 or more runs fewer than the first team’s total in a five-day match. This rule does not apply in ODIs or T20s.
