Find the number when successively divided 3, 5, and 7 leaving the remainder 2, 1, and 3, respectively, and the last quotient is 3.

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 3 i.e. 365.

Given that,

The number when successively divided 3, 5, and 7 leaves the remainder 2, 1, and 3, respectively, and the last quotient is 3

We know that,

(Divisor × Quotient) + Remainder = Dividend

According to the question,

⇒ (7 × 3) + 3 = Dividend

⇒ Dividend = 21 +  3 = 24

Now, Second dividend = 24 × 5 + 1 = 120 + 1 = 121

Hence,

The required number = 121 × 3 + 2 = 363 + 2 = 365
