Q 30% 70% 3 : 1
R 25% 40% 12 : 13

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 3 i.e. 21600.

Total population = 300000

Population of city R = 25% of 300000 = 75000

Percentage of population above 60 years in city R = 40%

So, Population below 60 years = 60% of 75000 = 45000

The ratio of males and females in city R = 12 : 13

Hence, The population of male below 60 years = 12/25 × 45000 = 21600
