SSC CHSL - 05 July 2024 - Shift 2 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q65

Find the height of the triangle whose base is two-thirds of its height and whose area is 363 cm2.

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 33 cm.

Let, height = 3a and Base = 2a

So, (1/2) × 3a × 2a = 363

⇒ 3a2 = 363

⇒ a2 = 121

⇒ a = 11

⇒ 3a = 3 × 11 = 33

Hence, the height of the triangle is 33 cm.
