Directions: Study the given table and answer the question.

The table displays the number of cars produced (in lakhs) by six different brands between 2018 and 2023.

Find the difference in the average production of B and D during 2018-2023.

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 5 lakhs.

The average production (in lakhs) of B = (23 + 37 + 28 + 32 + 34 + 26)/6 = 180/6 = 30

The average production (in lakhs) of D = (35 + 37 + 42 + 32 + 36 + 28)/6 = 210/6 = 35

Difference = 35 lakhs - 30 lakhs = 5 lakhs

Therefore, the difference in the average production of B and D during 2018-2023 is 5 lakhs.
