Given :

Sides of triangle = 5 cm, 12 cm, 13 cm

Applying Pythagoras Theorem, 5² + 12² = 13²

This implies that the triangle is a right angled triangle.

i.e. Base = 12 cm and Height = 5 cm

Concept Used :

Area of triangle = 1/2 × Base × Height

So, Area = 1/2 × 12 × 5 

Area = 30.

Hence the required area of the triangle is 30 cm².
