Given:

Radius, r = 7 cm

Centarl angle, $\theta$ = 90°

Concept Used:

$Area\ of\ sector = {\theta \over 360} × \pi r^2$  .....(i)

Explanation:

According to the given question,

Area of sector = (90/360) × (22/7) × 49     {using equation (i)}

⇒ Area of sector = 1/4 × 22 × 7

⇒ Area of sector = 77/2 = 38.5

Hence the required area of sector is 38.5 cm².
