Etika invested some amount at a rate of 9% per annum and earns an S.I. of ₹810 after 3 years. If the rate of interest had been 4% more, then how much more interest (in ₹) would Etika have earned on the same amount in the same time?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 1 i.e. 360.

Extra rate = 9% + 4% = 13%

Difference in SI = ((13−9)%×P×3)100((13 - 9)\% \times P \times 3)\over100 = (4%×P×3)100(4\% \times P \times 3)\over100

From the original SI:

⇒ 810 = P×9×3100P × 9 × 3\over 100

⇒ P = 3000

Extra SI = 3000×4×31003000 × 4 × 3 \over 100  = ₹360
