Ashima borrowed ₹ 75,000 from a nationalised bank on 26th March 2022 at the rate of 9% per annum in simple interest. If she cleared the account on 7th June of the same year then what amount did she pay?

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. ₹ 76,350.

Given that

Ashima borrowed (P) = ₹ 75,000

Rate of simple interest (R) = 9% p.a.

Time (T) = 26 march 2022 to 7 june 2022 = 73 days

Formula used

S.I. = P×R×T100{P \times R \times T}\over 100

Amount = P + S.I.

Calculation

S.I. = 75000×9×73365100{75000 \times 9 \times {73 \over 365}}\over 100

S.I. = ₹1350

Hence, Amount = P + S.I. = 75000 + 1350 = ₹76350
