After 4 years, Ramesh's age will be 50% more than what his age was 16 years ago. What is his present age?

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 56 years

Let Ramesh's present age be x years - 

According to the question - 

(x + 4) = (x - 16) + 50% of (x - 16)

(x + 4) = (x - 16) + 0.5(x - 16)

(x + 4) = x - 16 + 0.5x - 8

x + 4 = 1.5x - 24

0.5x = 28 

x = 28/0.5

x = 56 

So,

Ramesh's present age is 56 years.
