SSC CGL Tier II - 18 January 2025 - Shift I • Quantitative Aptitude • Q5

∆ABC is inscribed in a circle with Centre O. If AB = 21 cm, BC = 20 cm, and AC = 29 cm, then what is the length of the circumradius of the triangle?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 14.5 cm.

AB = 21 cm, BC = 20 cm and AC = 29 cm

We know that (21, 20, 29) is a triplet.

△ABC is a right-angle triangle where ∠B = 90°

The circumradius of a right triangle is half the length of its hypotenuse.

Circumradius = 29/2 = 14.5 cm

Therefore, the length of the circumradius of the triangle is 14.5 cm.
