In the above figure:

DE = 6

BC = 3

BD = 4

△ADE is a right angle triangle:

So, the possible sides of △ADE = (6 , 8, 10) Triplet

The possible value of AD = 8, and AB = (AD - DE) (8 - 4) = 4

In △ABC: 

Using triplet(3, 4, 5)

Let's assume (BC = 3, AB = 4, AC = 5)

AC² = AB² + BC²

5² = 4² + 3² 

25 = 25

So, the value of AB = 4
