Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 28,400.

(A + D) : (B + C) = 8 : 5 = 8x : 5x

Also, B : C = 5 : 4 = 5x : 4x

According to the question,

⇒ 8x + 5x = 46,800

⇒ x = 3,600

⇒ B + C = 5x = ₹18,000

And B : C = 5 : 4

So, B = 595\over9 × 18000 = 10000

⇒ A + B = 18400 + 10000 = 28,400
