Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 1125.

Given:

A sum of ₹ 14,175 is divided among A, B and C in the ratio 2/3 : 3/5 : 5/6

Calculations:

⇒ A : B : C = 2/3 : 3/5 : 5/6

⇒ A : B : C = (60 × 2/3) : (60 × 3/5) : (60 × 5/6) = 20 : 18 : 25

Let the share of A, B and C be 20x, 18x and 25x

Total share = 20x + 18x + 25x

⇒ 14175 = 63x

⇒ x = 225

Required difference between the share of A and C = 25x - 20x = 5x

⇒ 5 × 225 = 1125
