Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 1 i.e. 2,52,000 and 1,56,800

Given that

A starts a business with ₹75,000 and B joins the business 5 months later with an
investment of ₹80,000

A invests for 1 year or 12 months and B invests for 7 months only.

Now,  Ratio of the profit of A and B = 75000 × 12: 80000 × 7

= 45: 28

The share of A = (45/73) × 408800 = 45 × 5600 = 252000 Rs

The share of B = (28/73) × 408800 = 28 × 5600 = 156800 Rs
