Show answer & explanation
Correct answer: B
Explanation
The correct answer is Option 2 i.e. Rs.2,400.
Let the price of the Shirt be Rs.y and the price of the saree be Rs.x
2x + 4y = 1600..........(1)
x + 6y = 1600..........(2)
Multiply equation 2 by 2
⇒ 12y - 4y = 3200 - 1600
⇒ 8y = 1600
⇒ y = 200
Hence, the price of the shirts is Rs.200
If I want to buy 12 shirts = 12 × 200 = Rs.2400
If I want to buy 12 shirts then, you have to pay Rs.2400
