Show answer & explanation
Correct answer: C
Explanation
The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 16.25%
Concept used :
s.p. = (100 + Profit/Loss)/100
Solution :
The total c.p. = 40 × 50 = Rs. 2000
The c.p. of 35 pieces = 35 × 50 = Rs. 1750
s.p. = [(100 + 20)/100] × 1750
s.p. = Rs. 2100
c.p. of 5 pieces = 5 × 50 = Rs. 250
s.p. = [(100 -10)/100] × 250
s.p. = Rs. 225
Now, total s.p. = Rs. 2100 + Rs. 225 = Rs. 2325
Profit = 2325 - 2000 = Rs. 325
The required profit percentage = (325/2000) × 100 = 16.25 %.
